Running With the Vision

Posted on June 20, 2014June 20, 2014 by Lela Jefferson Fagan

One of the things I have learned in my almost 10 years as serving as a steward and assistant in ministry is this… At the time the leader is casting the vision, your heart has to be willing to receive it. Once you do, you can conceive it for yourself. You become a surrogate of that vision. Now, as it is developing within you… It’s your responsibility to speak life into it, prepare for its birth by setting up systems and processes so it can be successful once presented to the world.

And even after it has begun to take its first steps and strides…. It’s still your job to continue to watch out for it, pray over it, and make the necessary adjustments so that it flourishes.

Though the vision is not your baby, you have played an important role in its development. Its parents (the leader and God) have honored you with the responsibility of its stewardship. #LOVEFORWARD
