There’s Joy in Repetition – A Patience Lesson Learned
I should have known better after reading a book on having a “Patient Attitude” I would be confronted with a patience test. I think I got a 65. However, I might have aced it if I remembered the chorus and name of one of my favorite Prince songs from back in the day… “Joy in Repetition…There’s Joy in Repetition.” Not everyone thinks, learns or reacts at the same rate or how you do. Don’t blame the pupil if your teaching methods are not garnering the results you desire. Take a step back, analyze the situation. Find what works for them and be patient and loving; you both will eventually get it……

The Lesson I Learned From a Baby Sparrow about FAITH
This past Sunday as my husband and I were leaving our home to do a few errands; we were confronted with a not so cute scene on our front porch. It was a still and lifeless baby sparrow. Evidently, the poor little thing had attempted to fly. Instead, it fell beak first from its nest and landed where we found it. After the initial shock, of our discovery we prepared to remove it. As we worked together to picked it up and put it away, I thought about the powerful statement the little bird had made with its actions. Even though, it had clearly failed at its first attempt at…

3 years, 2 months, and 13 days – This Girl is On Fire
Saturday marked 9 months since I said “I Do” to my husband and almost a month since my relocation to Texas to be with him. 3 years, 2 months, and 13 days since we began our courtship… It feels as if I have known him forever. Actually, it has been more than half my life. The last time I saw him before we re-connected in early 2009; I was a young girl-woman heading out into the world with fire in my eyes. I was ready to change the world. Now I am a married woman. Still with fire in my eyes, yet now with a new purpose… God’s. It’s still…

I’m A World Changer!
I feel so privileged and honored! God has allowed me to see this day…As a genesis member of my local church World Changers Church – New York (one that attended the first service and has lovingly served in the helps ministry ever since)… To say after 8 years we have moved into our permanent church location…and will be having our first service there tonight is simply amazing! I know my life has been forever been changed for the better because two people were faithful to the call of God on their lives and came to New York to plant a church…an extension of the World Changers family in my hometown!…

Enough is ENOUGH! My Testimony of God’s Grace
He impregnated me with his SEED… It penetrated me deeply. As the days passed it grew day by day until the birth pains were too much for me to bear. When I gave birth, I could not believe what had come out of me. Its reflection, my reflection was so far from what I imagined it would be… A part of my testimony of God’s AWESOME protection and ability to renew and reconcile me to Him is the fact I was stalked online and offline; I understood what cyber bullying was way before it was given a name. I was verbally and mentally abused, placed in immediate physical danger, cheated…

Employing Angelic Protection
The day before Oji and I were to be married, we were in a car accident. No fault of our own. No one was injured, Praise God! However, the event was jarring none, to say the least. Our rental car only had minimal damage, and its repairs were fully covered with no strings attached by our insurance company. The lesson that rung the loudest for both of us was the importance of employing divine protection… Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God Psalms 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is…

Who is in the Driver’s Seat?
I am learning that submission in marriage only works when you actually do it. And the “S” on my undergarments only stands for “Spanx”, not “Superwoman”. Now let me explain, I grew up in a household where my parents were separated for most of my life… My father was there because I was one of those children that demanded you be involved in my life. To me my mother was a Superwoman. We didn’t have much financially. However, she always had a roof over our heads; kept a decent house and food in the fridge and clothing on our backs. She understood the importance of recycling before it became all…
