Lela Jefferson Fagan is a writer, blogger, and passionate storyteller who explores life’s complexities with honesty and depth. She is the author of Poetry of a Black Girl: The Darkness and the Light and the voice behind Memoirs of a Black Girl, where she shares thought-provoking reflections on culture, identity, and personal growth. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Lela now calls Houston, Texas, home, where she lives with her husband, Oji—an athletics administrator and football coach—and their three children.
